In recent years, as industrial automation technology has advanced — especially with the rise of smart home products — the production of the many hardware parts they use has become increasingly automated, involving double-sided tape, single-sided protective film, foam EVA tape and so on. Domestic work on automatic double-sided tape applicators, however, has concentrated on mechanical structures for specific applications such as printing, stationery and handicrafts, paper tube cores, weather strips and hollow aluminum strips. Equipment that is highly automated and proven in real production is still scarce, and struggles to meet market demand.

1. Aluminum round-tube tape applicator

The aluminum strip tape applicator applies tape to the flat or curved surfaces of long strips, round tubes and similar items, and can handle double-sided tape, 3M tape, single-sided tape, EVA foam tape and other materials, cutting and applying automatically to the required tape length. It is commonly used for taping home hardware tracks, weather strips, scrolls for painting and calligraphy, cores and aluminum profiles. Depending on the product, optional automatic feeding and receiving mechanisms can be added; accuracy is good and production efficiency is multiplied.

The aluminum foam tape applicator is designed to apply foam tape to the surface of longer aluminum profiles. It uses a scissor-type cutter with a selectable automatic cutting length, and pressure rollers work with the long aluminum strip feed to apply the tape with stable accuracy.
