On the afternoon of June 24, Dongguan held its fifth COVID-19 prevention and control press conference of 2021. Zhang Qiaoli, deputy director and spokesperson of the Dongguan Health Bureau, reported that Li, the first locally confirmed case in this outbreak in Dongguan, had four nucleic acid tests for his family members in Dongguan, all negative.

Regarding the citywide nucleic acid screening on June 21, Zhang added: on June 22, 11.1621 million people were reported negative; on June 22, screening continued with a “carpet-style” door-to-door search, and all 17,400 samples collected were also negative. The previous round of nucleic acid screening in Dongguan tested 11.1795 million people, all negative.

In this sudden outbreak, Dongguan did not lose its footing; all epidemic prevention work proceeded methodically and step by step.

Of course, this would not have been possible without the hard work of every epidemic prevention worker and volunteer, or without the proactive cooperation of all 13.4969 million Dongguan residents and their conscious compliance with prevention policies.

As one of Dongguan’s citizens, Wanzhi has felt the strength of our country and the speed of Dongguan. We give a thumbs-up to our motherland and to our Dongguan!

In the pandemic era, Wanzhi Automation has also found its own path to development:

First, digital transformation of the enterprise to create new business models. We are further developing the company’s digital survival, digital development, and digital collaboration capabilities, and improving a business model that integrates online and offline. We are building service platforms on various internet platforms to meet customers’ needs for online consultation, solution development, ordering, and after-sales service.

Second, improving our ability to respond quickly to the market. Responding quickly means targeting immediate consumer demand, tapping potential demand, and creating new consumer demand through supply-side reform. When China needs medical products, we build machines related to medical products, such as mask foam strip applicators and pharmaceutical labeling machines. We must respond quickly to both the domestic and international markets — a very important part of seizing opportunities in a crisis.

Third, value international markets. We will always stay sensitive to the market: first, how to meet current consumer demand, tap potential consumption, and create new consumption through supply-side structural reform; second, in addition to domestic consumption, we must also base ourselves on opening up international consumer markets, such as countries related to the Belt and Road Initiative.

Fourth, adopt new ways of thinking. The pandemic has given us much room for thought and reflection. We can see that some peer companies are stronger than us in adapting to the market, in generating profits, in creating new business models, and in innovative thinking. So we must fully leverage our own strengths and revitalize the huge stock of high-quality resources we have accumulated into enormous growth, while also learning from excellent peers to form a new and better institutional mechanism.

In the post-pandemic era, Wanzhi follows the national call to “stay true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind,” seeking new growth points, breakthroughs, and innovations to contribute as much as we can to China’s economic and social development!
