China’s lithium battery industry first brought in lithium battery technology in 1998 and has now gone through 25 years of development. Guided by national industrial policy and the independent innovation of leading domestic companies, it has built a fairly complete industrial chain and a globally leading market size, and a group of internationally competitive, leading lithium battery companies has emerged.
Taking the Shenzhen Stock Exchange as an example, 17 listed companies in the lithium battery industry now trade there, with a combined market value of RMB 1,045.561 billion; in 2022 they reported combined operating revenue of RMB 513.821 billion, up 103.61% year on year, and combined net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 15.107 billion, up 75.24% year on year. These results come mainly from leading companies that use the capital market to strengthen their market position, keep innovating to build global supply chains and seize the industry’s growth window to accelerate overseas expansion — all of which forge international competitiveness.
Starting from lithium battery customer needs and from modular, standardized industry processes, Wanzhi Automation independently developed an automatic power battery insulation tape applicator. The WZ automatic power battery insulation tape applicator is mainly used to apply tape to insulation materials for power battery modules: the power supply insulation sheets, high-temperature and fire-resistant PC film for lithium batteries, new energy flame-retardant Mylar sheets, aerogel composites and silicone rubber foam materials mentioned above can all be taped. The application length can be set freely; the tape applicator heads are selected to suit customer requirements; optional automatic feeding and receiving mechanisms are available, and a high-accuracy tape applicator can be custom-built.
