In recent years, with rapid economic development, national spending on the healthcare sector has increased accordingly. The establishment of a medical security system for all citizens and the continuous improvement of reimbursement procedures have spurred nationwide demand for medical treatment. At the same time, global pharmaceutical manufacturing is shifting to China, which indicates that China’s pharmaceutical industry will enter a golden period of development and will also drive fast, steady growth in the pharmaceutical machinery industry.

Automating barcode labeling on pharmaceutical packaging boxes and bottles is also a very important step for the pharmaceutical industry. The first role automated coding plays in the pharmaceutical industry is enabling products such as medicines to be sold on the market, because national regulations clearly require that any product must carry a label stating product information — such as the ingredient list, production date, and shelf life — before it can be sold. The pharmaceutical industry produces enormous quantities every day, and traditional manual labeling and semi-automatic labeling cannot possibly meet its needs, so an automatic coding machine is the only choice. That is why we can say that automatic labeling machines play a very significant role in the pharmaceutical industry.

Because there are so many kinds of medicines, their packaging differs too. Not only do medicine boxes and bottles vary in size, but some products, such as infusion bottles, also require specific information to be printed on the label in real time. Most ordinary labeling machines on the market today have a single labeling function, limited labeling specifications, and no real-time inline printing capability.

To address these needs, Wanzhi has developed a series of automated labeling machines for pharmaceutical products. Below we introduce them one by one:

1. WZ-212 automatic high-speed horizontal blood collection tube labeling

       Developed for small round tubes and bottles such as blood collection tubes, reagent tubes, and oral liquid bottles. The horizontal conveying and horizontal labeling method, with pneumatic cylinder stopping during labeling, improves stability and labeling efficiency; an optional bottle-separating mechanism saves more labor and increases labeling efficiency.

An optional coder or inkjet printer can be mounted on the labeling head to print production dates, batch numbers, barcodes, and other information on labels. An optional inkjet printer can be mounted on the conveyor to print production dates, batch numbers, barcodes, and other information on products before or after labeling.

2. WZ-600 real-time printing for infusion bottlesLabeling machine

       The WZ-600 real-time printingLabeling machine, itcanhandle multiple products at the same time, such as round infusion bottles, soft infusion bags, and stand-up poucheslabelingrequirements, so we do not need to change the labeling equipment after switching product packaging.

It can connect to a database and print and apply labels matching the product information, ensuring the uniqueness of product information. The labeling head rises and lowers automatically according to product specifications, and operation is simple and user-friendly;

3. WZ-211 automatic round-bottle labeling machine for personal care products

Suitable for labeling round-bottle pharmaceutical packaging, with full-wrap or half-wrap labeling. An optional automatic rotary bottle unscrambler can be connected directly to the upstream production line to feed bottles into the labeling machine automatically, increasing efficiency.

An optional ribbon coding unit can be fitted to print production dates and batch numbers inline, reducing bottle packaging steps and improving production efficiency.

4. WZ-123 medicine box seal and anti-counterfeit code labeling machine

Dedicated to seal labeling on both corners of medicine boxes: labels are applied across the corner between the top and side surfaces at both ends of the box as tamper-evident labels to prevent opening.

 Because of its high output and specific label information requirements, manual labeling and product inspection are clearly impractical in the pharmaceutical industry. Wanzhi labeling machines are therefore designed for actual production, integrating with the product line and achieving inline inspection, printing, and labeling in one process. This saves both money and effort. For the pharmaceutical industry, the greatest needs are speed and stability, and the automatic labeling machine series developed by Wanzhi for the pharmaceutical industry fully meets those needs.
