IC tray technical solution
1. The working principle of the automatic IC tray feeding and labeling machine is as follows:
2. Station-by-station structure and configuration of the IC tray system

Station A: Tray loading and feeding:
Station description: 1. An indexer is used for feeding, giving more accurate feeding speed and position
2. A stepper motor with photoelectric sensing feeds the magazine automatically
3. Handwheel adjustment accommodates 7/13/15-inch reels
4. Automatic magazine switching: when the current magazine is empty, the system switches automatically to the next magazine with a short changeover time, and while normal loading continues it signals a material shortage for the empty magazine

Station B: Pick-up and positioning:

Station description: 1. Dual-station vacuum suction cups pick up the trays, and the suction cup station has a rotary motor;
2. A stepper motor with photoelectric sensing of the IC tray positioning holes rotates and positions the picked-up tray, saving cycle time
3. The suction cups accommodate 7/13/15-inch reels
4. The main shaft has a rotary motor and an up/down pneumatic cylinder to meet the high-speed pick-and-place requirements

Station C: Scanning to read tray information:

Station description: 1. A Keyence scanner is used, with automatic focusing, automatic setting of the barcode reading order, and configurable output separators
2. Capture the correct label information with no localized part number, and confirm it with PLM (handled by the software)
3. Automatic scan template switching; scanning supports 7/13/15-inch reels and IC trays with heights of 35-120 mm, and tray packaging (height 100 mm) is supported
Station D: Tray rejection:

Station description: 1. Rejection criteria: barcode reading failure, mixed materials, or a tray that does not belong to the current machine order, among others
2. The rejection bin can hold several products and requires manual review and sorting
3. The rejection station accommodates 7/13/15-inch reels and tray-packaged trays

Reserved for expansion, such as sorting rejection or other functions
Stations F and G: Print-and-apply labeling:

Station description: 1. The station receives print jobs from the host software (which can be queued); the printed label is held by vacuum and waits for the tray to arrive (normally two products are buffered between the scanning station and the labeling station, so the print-and-apply machine queues automatically)
2. A stopping and positioning mechanism is installed on the conveyor. Because station B has already positioned the tray and the labeling machine’s left-right position has been set, this station simply presses down to apply the label at the specified position,
3. The label pick-up section of the labeling mechanism uses a sponge pad and is fitted with a pressure sensor; labeling supports 7/13/15-inch reels and tray-packaged trays, and once contact is made with a certain feedback force the labeling action is completed automatically and the mechanism returns

Station H: Scanning to read tray information:
Station description: 1. A Keyence scanner is used, with automatic focusing, automatic setting of the barcode reading order, and configurable output separators
2. Verify the readability of the label content and that the Reel ID matches the original label information
3. Automatic scan template switching; scanning supports 7/13/15-inch reels and IC trays with heights of 35-120 mm, and tray packaging (height 100 mm) is supported;
