Round-bottleLabeling machineCommon problems and solutions:

1. Liner breakage: liner breakage is closely related to three factors — the quality of the label liner, the liner being scratched along the label path, and labels sticking together.

a. Check whether the liner is cut or damaged; if so, replace it with a high-quality liner. Glassine liner is recommended, and the label supplier should be required to control the die-cutting depth so that the liner is not damaged.

b. Check whether the label is scratched as it runs through the machine, and eliminate the cause of the scratching.

c. If labels stick together, they tear easily. Control the length of the next label dispensed so that it does not stick to a product that has already been labeled.

2. Labeling deviation exceeds the accuracy requirement: label deviation is related to the label web drifting, the label web not running parallel to the product conveying direction, the pulling wheel slipping, inaccurate product positioning detection, the label not being applied along the wrap-around roller, and product tolerances. Check these factors and then address the specific cause.

• If the label web drifts, release the pulling mechanism and pull the label back and forth so that it straightens itself. Once the label runs straight, tighten the limit rings on both sides to guide the label.

• If the label web is not parallel to the product conveying direction, adjust the tilt of the labeling head to make them parallel.

• If the pulling wheel slips, it is related to wheel wear or a loose locking screw on the pulling wheel; in both cases, tighten the locking screw of the pulling wheel.

• For product tolerance: edge tolerances in product manufacturing cause labeling deviation, which can only be solved by controlling product quality.

3. Continuous label dispensing: continuous or incomplete label dispensing is related to the sensitivity of the label sensor; simply adjust the sensitivity. Refer to the label sensor adjustment section above.

• If adjusting the sensor does not solve the problem, the label may be outside the sensor’s applicable range, or the sensor may be damaged; consult the manufacturer.

• Another cause is the label web drifting, so the sensor does not detect the label; adjust the sensor forward or backward to the detection position.

4. Liner slack at the peel plate

• Liner slack is related to too low a pulling speed or a slipping pulling mechanism. If the pulling speed is too low, increase it.

• If the pulling mechanism slips, tighten the locking screw of the pulling roller until the liner no longer slips.

• Also check whether the drive belt behind the take-up shaft is broken.
