Applications and operating instructions for automatic flat-surface labeling

1. Applications of the automatic flat-surface labeling machine:

1. The automatic flat-surface labeling machine is suitable for applying labels, film, or double-sided tape to the top surface of various items, such as circuit boards, unformed cartons, and books. It is widely used for flat-surface labeling of large products and flat objects with a wide range of sizes;

2. An optional coder or inkjet printer can be mounted on the labeling head to print production dates, batch numbers, barcodes, and other information on labels;

3. Additional labeling heads can be added per user requirements for simultaneous labeling at different horizontal positions; a sheet-feeding mechanism can be added for automatic separation of thinner products, greatly improving production efficiency;

4. Product features: wide scope of application — handles flat objects from 40 mm to 400 mm wide, with a labeling head that moves over a wide range to label different positions; sturdy and durable — a three-rod adjustment mechanism with solid, durable parts and high rigidity ensures labeling accuracy; responsive and flexible — can be used standalone or connected to a production line, with intelligent control, automatic photoelectric tracking, no labeling when no product is present, automatic no-label correction, and automatic label detection to prevent missing labels and label waste.

2. Operating instructions:

1. Plug the power supply into a single-phase outlet (a good ground connection is required);

2. Load a full roll of labels: place the roll of self-adhesive labels flat on the label reel disc, then fit the outer disc and lock it. Following the threading diagram provided by the manufacturer (usually affixed in a visible place on the labeling head), route the entire label web and liner so that both run in the same plane, and set the black positioning rings on each roller to the proper positions to guide the label straight;

3. Start the machine: turn on the power switch, and the power indicator lights up. Test each labeling machine function manually on the touch screen. Tap manual dispensing to confirm that the label can be detected normally; if not, refer to the sensor setup section of the manual. The label sensor determines the label dispensing length and the stop position, so its position must be adjusted as well; moving the sensor controls how much label is dispensed, and normally the label should protrude 1–3 mm past the peel plate. Once dispensing is normal, proceed to the next adjustment step;

4. Product setup: place the product at the product sensor on the conveyor so that the sensor recognizes the object automatically, then move the product under the peel mechanism of the labeling head and adjust the head height — normally the peel plate should be 2-4 mm above the product’s top surface. Once these two adjustments are made, place products on the conveyor and start automatic labeling mode.
